This is the question I’ve been getting the most these past months.
The last podcast episode went live back in December 2015, and there was no word from me since.
First thing’s first: Time Hackers is alive and kicking
I was silent for such a long time because there were tough decisions to be made, and I didn’t want you to go through the rocky road with me. I decided that once I have things figured out, I’ll come back and report back to you.
Here’s what happened
When I first started my entrepreneurial journey in 2012 I had no clue. I didn’t know what I wanted to do, whom I wanted to help, and how I wanted to do it. I had this list of stuff I was really good at and a bunch of people asking me for help. So I just dived head first.
My ‘plan’ was to do what I love and love what I do… But this is not how you get started. I wanted to help everybody, just because I knew I could. Pretty soon I found myself working my tail off, trying to rescue those who were not willing to lift a finger to help themselves.
I got more and more lucrative proposals, more and more online celebrities wanted my advice and help and I got blindsided. I started doing things just because I could; Just because I was better than others doing them.
But I was miserable. By the time I realized that something wasn’t right, I was knee-deep in clients and projects I absolutely despised, while giving up on everything I loved just to keep my commitments to them.
It wasn’t all bad. During this process, I found a lot of amazing people trying to lead better lives. I found incredible friends, who kept me going despite everything. I found talents I forgot I had – things from my military past I completely forgot. I wished I had a chance to put those talents to a god use, but I had no idea how to do it.
My thoughts created my reality
I was contacted by a huge company. A Forbes 1000 World’s Biggest Public Company, mind you. They offered a job – the exact job I was dreaming of – effective immediately. I said yes.
Wait… a 9-to-5?
Yes. I’m doing the 9-to-5 thing again and I love every minute of it. I am now doing what I always dreamed of doing as an entrepreneur… and I get to still be an entrepreneur on the side!
I got a chance to do what I love – while getting the opportunity to remodel Time Hackers. No strings attached, no obligations. How often do we get offered a clean slate?
Not nearly often enough, IMO.
So here’s what’s next
I have limited time to work on Time Hackers, which mean I get to work only on what I’m truly passionate about and only with the people I find fitting for my program. I’m not gonna lie – most people don’t fit. I take only the extraordinary, the rising stars, those that are not afraid to do some hard work. In fact, I am so dead serious that I’ve fired all but 3 of my coaching clients. But the ones that stayed see results others only dream about (I’m talking about promotions to CEO’s, saved marriages and doubling their income – pretty awesome results for a few months of work, don’t you think?).
I don’t have the time or will to coach just anyone. But I still want to give as many people as I can the tools to manage time, break the glass ceiling that’s stopping them and live up to their own potential. This is where this blog comes in. I will be using this as a platform to communicate with you, to share thoughts, ideas, hacks and systems that simply work. I’d love for us to keep in touch through this platform, and of course – I’m always available for you at j@imjulie.com.
The Time Hackers podcast will resume in a few weeks time. If you miss my short 2-episode a week podcast, don’t worry – it’s coming back.
I want to thank you for sticking with me even when I was MIA. Your tweets, emails and likes on Facebook kept me going when I had no idea where exactly I was headed. THANK you for reading this to the very end, and thank you for being amazing Time Hackers -online as well as offline!
Great to know that you’re doing well. You created so much goodwill through your podcast. Congratulations on making the most of the new career opportunity.
Fiona,

Joyce,
There are no words to express how thankful I am for you. You’ve been with me and with Time Hackers from the very beginning – your support is one of the main reasons there still is Time Hackers.
Thank you.
Can’t wait to meet you face-to-face!
